Prey 2017 is a spiritual successor to og Prey, like Red Dead Revolver to Red Dead Redemption. They carry the same moniker, themes, and gameplay style, yet take place in completely different universes.

Yeah, it's largely unrelated to the 2017 Prey one.

Both are unrelated & have different types of weapons. As both games set their story on different themed space stations with different functions to weaponry. As both prey games have different protagonists as original prey has a Native American male & prey 2017 has a white male or female. ( depending on player choice) As their soundtrack is different & I know the original prey’s soundtrack is interesting & prey 2017’s soundtrack is electronic themed.

prey 2017 has more powers + abilities with weapons & upgrades to get rid of the typhon aliens plus solving puzzles.

The original prey has weapons to use & only has spirit walking with a life upgrade plus solving puzzles.
