Prey Wiki

Gustav Leitner was a guest who visited Talos I shortly before the events of Prey.

History[]

Background[]

Gustav Leitner was a world-famous pianist who visited Talos I to have his brain scanned for use in Neuromods on February 13th, 2035. Dayo Igwe, being a big fan of his music, met Leitner and asked him to sign an album he'd brought.

During his visit, the medical staff discovered that he was tested positive for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer, though whether he knew this or not is unknown. He would have been sent immediately to the Trauma Center, although he took the shuttle Advent back to Earth on February 22nd.[1][2]

Prey[]

He may have been killed if Morgan chose to detonate the Advent.

After Igwe gets to Morgan's office he asks Morgan to retrieve the Gustav Leitner Connectome from Igwe's cabin in Crew Quarters for the optional objective "Gustav Leitner". To do so, Morgan must play Leitner's music to open the hidden safe that holds the Connectome.

Developer Notes[]

"[NOT A CREW MEMBER] Was on Talos to have his musical abilities recorded for a neuromod. In recent years age has started to claim his ability to play. In this way he hopes to preserve his talent."

Trivia[]

  • While the Leitner Music Sample is labeled "Grand Piano Concerto", the musical piece that is played is a sample from Frédéric Chopin's posthumous "L'Adieu" Waltz Op. 69 No.1 in A Flat. [3]
  • It is unknown where he resided during his stay on Talos I, though, like fellow VIP Argenteno Pero, he was most likely able to stay in the Executive Suites' guest room.
