Background[]
Kristen Schwanholz was assigned to Pytheas Labs, where she studied Typhon behaviors. Her observations of unusual behavior not seen on Talos I led her to speculate about whether the Typhon were adapting to the Moon.
When Chao Wei was assigned to study a particularly erratic Mimic in isolation, he brought the matter to her. Noting that the Mimic kept throwing random shoes at her from nowhere, she speculated with Chao about the possibility of the Mimic's "Portal" being used to reach someplace on Earth, and waited for Riley Yu's clearance for further experimentation.

Peter finds Kristen dead, killed by a Mimic, in the Isolation Chamber in front of the Mimic Portal used as an escape route on Floor 1 of Pytheas Labs. She carries a TranScribe which unlocks the Mimic Portal escape objective, as well as other random loot.
