Psychoshock is a Typhon ability gained through use of Neuromods in Prey (2017).

Overview[]

Psychoshock is a fairly short-ranged ability that allows Morgan to create a psionic attack which deals direct damage to a single organic enemy as well as temporarily disabling all of their PSI powers, whether active or innate(Such as Weaver's shield or Phantom's explosive speed) It is learned by researching Telepaths.

It costs 25 PSI to cast and has a cooldown of 20 seconds.

Tiers[]

Tier I[]

With Tier I Psychoshock, Morgan can execute a direct psychic attack against biological targets for 45 damage and nullify psi abilities for 10 seconds. It requires 3 neuromods.

Tier II[]

With Tier II Psychoshock, Morgan can execute a direct psychic attack against biological targets for 65 damage and nullify psi abilities for 15 seconds. It requires 5 neuromods.

Tier III[]

With Tier III Psychoshock, Morgan can execute a direct psychic attack against biological targets for 95 damage and nullify psi abilities for 20 seconds. It requires 5 neuromods.

Gameplay Notes[]

While Psychoshock has an incredible 3.8 damage/PSI efficiency, the long cooldown(more than triple of Energy powers) means you can't really rely on it for sustained damage-dealing. Its real strength lies in the Nullwave effect, making almost all Typhon sitting ducks for the duration. Combined with low PSI cost, this makes it a very good "first move" power in most situations.
