Typhon Spore, also known as Typhon organ E7, is a Typhon organ that is found on Pytheas moon base during Prey: Mooncrash, and can be used as a grenade-type weapon.
Overview[]
Typhon Spore is a special grenade, that spawns tentacles to attack any nearby enemies including player itself so careful not too close. It can be thrown, or affixed to stationary objects. The spores are excreted by weavers, become tentacle nests, and can be harvested from said tentacle nests provided the human doing so has a necropsy neuromod installed.
Usage[]
The Typhon Spores can be used as makeshift mines by placing them in the path of walking or flying enemies. They can also be thrown like grenades. The spore can be used to distract enemies, as the tentacles that grow out of it will attack anything that moves in their vicinity regardless of whether or not it is animate.
Trivia[]
- The spore has some indirect similarities to the Crawlers from the original Prey. Specifically, the fact that both are living creatures used as makeshift weapons by the player.
- Organ E7 is the only type of Typhon organ that has a fabrication plan or that can be weaponized.
- Organ E7 is simple enough to be manufactured with one unit of exotic matter and one unit of organic matter.
